Kunbi dance is a tribal folk dance of kunbi people it is also known as Kanbi dance.kunbi is a farmer caste in western india this tribe can be found in the salcete Taluka region of goa the dance is simple yet also unquie.it is performed on various festive and social occasions. Women dance in a group and move fast while performing this dance but they also move very gracefully. The steps are nicely calculated and coordination is impressive the dance does not involve any religious songs or activities it can be safely assumed that it was for entertainment purposes only. Only women participate in this dance whereas men play instruments in the background. Their coustoms women wear colourful Saree's. Saree's are plan yet beautiful. Sarees are of fabric and design represent the simplicity of the tribe. Women tie a need bun and decorate it with colourful flowers. They wear plan and simple jewellery.

Dhekni

Dekhni dance is one the oldest  dance forms of goa. In konkani it means beauty. This dance is a mixture of India and western music. Dekhni dance can be associated with those people who converted into Christianity from Hindusim during Portuguese rule. This dance form can be witnessed any where in goa. It is a dance combined with graceful movement and peaceful remedies. The dance starts with one lady starting  the dance and others joining in as the dance continues. Hanv saiba poltodi vetam. Is one of the most famous songs of Dekhni dance. This song's was written by Carlos Eugenio Ferreira. This song was first published in 1895 in Paris and then in goa in 1926. Dekhni Dance is performed by a group of girls carrying earthen oil lamps in their hands. Some gestures of Dekhni have been taken by Bhatartnatyam and kathak. Dhalo is a popular ritual folk dance from goa. The dance is performed by women and serves as a prayer of protection for their households. The songs to which the dance is performed are usually sung in konkani language or marathi. The theme of such songs are commonly religious or social in nature.it is conducted over a period of one week in month of Pousha. The dance is major attraction during the festive season generally this folk dance is performed in a group the dance can be performed by a group of male and females. Each dancer hold a colourful cord which hangs at the center point of the mand. The dancer starts dancing intricately forming a beautiful colourful intricate braid at the end of the first movements.
